Golf Solitaire is played with a single 52 card deck that is dealt into 7 columns of 5 cards. The remaining 17 cards are placed into a stock pile that the player can draw from if he gets stuck. The player is trying to remove all the cards from the columns, and can only remove the cards that are not partially covered by the cards placed on top of them. The player can remove a card and place it on the top of the waste pile, if the card has a value that is one greater than or one less than the card that is on top of the waste pile. If the player gets stuck, he can draw one of the 17 cards from the stock pile and place it on top of the waste pile, which changes the cards the player can draw from the columns. The player wins by removing all the cards from the columns.
